I built a home personally with Southern Valley and it was a great experience all around! They are knowledgeable and work with your wants and needs. My family now works with them as an electrical contractor and they are one of the easiest builders to work with. We've been in a long standing business relationship with SV and wouldn't have it any other way! Highly recommend anyone on their team.

Fantastic builder. The wife and I built with them years ago. Brand new home on virgin ground. So of course issues pop up over time that need to be addressed by the home owner. Grace and the team even years later respond to my emails if I have questions. They still offer advice and are super friendly even though the home is no longer their problem anymore. Very grateful to have built with them.

Great company to work with. Every person I have dealt with at Southern Valley Homes has been unbelievably friendly and professional. What separates them from others is the availability of customized selections like your front door. You are not dealing with "that's your only choice". Hundreds of exterior doors to choose from and many choices of lock colors and styles. They will also work with you in customizing floor plans. Good people!

I see a lot of reviews from others who did not actually build a Southern Valley Home. We did build a Southern Valley Home — it was our own custom design and this is our story. Contract signed on 4/22/2020. Building permit issued on 10/07/2020. Final Inspection on 1/28/2022. So 21 months contract to completion and 16 months to build. Southern Valley has a robust document system (contracts, change orders, etc.) We feel if they put more attention into internal communicating of change orders with their superintendent and subcontractors the process would be much improved. We built a totally custom home, so there were many modifications and change orders along the way. Many items were missed or done wrong, causing delays in correcting them, which Southern Valley did. The quality of the workmanship is Excellent. They did allow us to do some of our own work: light fixtures, appliances, stone work, brick paver drive and walks. Although it took some time to complete, Southern Valley did build us a Great Custom Home. I'm a retired Custom Home Builder in the area so I know. If you're going to build one of their model homes, I'm sure they will do a Great job. But if you're thinking Custom, I would advise keeping a close eye every step of the way. Southern Valley's subcontractors did very good work. We are very happy with our home and how it turned out. Great in the end. Thank you. Addendum: I wanted to add a warranty fix post 7 months moving in. The front swell wasn't graded to allow for normal rain water drainage. I notified SV and Kevin the supervisor came out, took some survey measurements, and agreed it needs to be fixed. Within a few weeks Kevin had a crew out, re-graded the swell so it will drain properly and re-laid my great sod. Very good service and job. Thank you.

I found Southern Valley Homes in a Google search while trying to find a new construction option for my mother to move closer to our family after another Big Name Builder changed the story on her while she was trying to get under contract. Southern Valley has been so fantastic every step of the way. Grace Van Orden, the new home specialist, is an absolute rockstar. She is so knowledgeable and happy to answer all of our questions (a LOT of questions). The quality of the materials is really nice, way better than builder grade stuff you see in most new construction homes. Their lender recommendations have been stellar as well. Most importantly, my mom is happy. I definitely recommend Southern Valley Homes.

Let me first start by saying I never write reviews and this is the first time I have actually built a new home. I couldn't be happier with the entire team over at Southern Valley. My wife and I started looking about 6 months ago now and stopped in the model center on County Line. Everyone was extremely helpful, answered all our questions and we didn't get that salesy feeling like we did at other centers. When discussing our home details, they were very transparent which we appreciated most of all. We made a few changes which they were able to accommodate on the spot rather than waiting on a callback weeks later. All in all, they did a tremendous job and we just wanted to say thanks guys!

I want to personally thank Grace Van Orden for getting my warranty requests done for me. I sent them to her with the pictures and the repair people were out here in no time. This was awesome! The Southern Valley Home we purchased is beautiful. We are extremely happy with our purchase. It's a corner lot, 1/2 acre for the dogs to run (of course, a new fence went up) which the dogs dearly love. Our friends have come over to see our new house and I get nothing but positive comments. They love it just like we do. We are glad we made this purchase with Southern Valley Homes.

My husband and I went to their model/business center today. We expressed that we were in the beginning phases of trying to build a home, just checking out different builders. We were given all the information that we asked for but were not overwhelmed by being overloaded with too much information. Mike was helpful, even though it was close to closing time. I like that they weren't pushy and listened to the fact that we were just starting out. Thank you!

They were very professional and Courtney was very responsive to my emails before and after my visit. I met with Grace and she was awesome and very responsive to my emails after my visit and made sure I understood everything that I forgot to ask at the initial visit. I can't wait to get started.
